Book Discussion
Meeting
every four to six weeks at a member's home, this group discusses works of
fiction chosen by the group. We
usually read contemporary fiction by writers from around the world. Contact

Chancel Choir
A fun, dynamic, mixed voice
ensemble provides music for regular worship services from September through
June and presents special choral programs several times each year. Membership
is open to all. The
choir rehearses Thursday evening in the Curry Forum Room at 7:30 p.m. Contact

Children's Choir
The
Children's Choir is welcoming new and returning choristers from grades 1
through 5. Rehearsals following Linger Lunch in the Curry Forum Room at
12:45-1:30. Opportunities for singing in worship, learning new skills and building community through

Higher Ground Choir
Higher
Ground worship services will be held four times this year. The worship features an electric
band and an energetic choir doing contemporary songs from the likes of Stevie
Wonder, Prince, Aretha Franklin, the Beatles, Jill Scot and much more. Singers are always welcome to join the

The
Caring Connection
The Caring
Connection is FUMCOGers giving short-term support to church members dealing
with surgery, illness, family emergencies, etc. We provide basics such as
meals, transportation to doctor’s appointments, help with essential errands,
and companionship – calls, cards, and visits. We need your help!
You can become a FUMCOG CC volunteer by completing a questionnaire located on
tables around the church and returning it to the church office. Also,
please be sure to call our Caring Connection Coordinator, Carolyn Cosline if you or someone you know could use assistance!
Piece Work
The
Piece Work is an informal group for those interested in creating charity crafts
or individual projects. Teach or learn new skills. All skill levels welcome. Meet with the group and/or work on your own. Meeting times, location, and special

United Methodist Women
The United Methodist Women builds community among the
women of FUMCOG and support social outreach to the local church, the community,
and the larger national and international community. Contact Barb Sveen.
A UMW Circle meets monthly on Saturday
mornings for fellowship and a service project. Contact Lucy Hill
Family Life
Family
Life plans, organizes and hosts various family-focused events, including the
annual Memorial Day camping weekend and Advent Crafts night in December.

Library
The
Library committee provides FUMCOG members and friends with a lending library of
current books that enhance and encourage a spiritual journey. The library is
readily accessible to all; it is located in a kiosk in Pilling Hall. Contact

Archives
The
Archives group collects, organizes, and catalogs the materials of the church.
We make the historical documents, photos and artifacts available for the church

Special Topics
If you have a special
interest or need for which you would like to organize a group, Community Life
Cluster leaders are available to help you get started. Past groups have included Feminist Spirituality,
