FUMCOG member Dr. Anna Mulliken established a special endowment in 1956 and named it the Julia Morgan Fund in honor of a Methodist medical missionary to China. Although she originally limited the fund to providing salary support for overseas missionaries, Dr. Mullikin later expanded the purpose and gave the Senior Pastor and Trustees the responsibility to decide the uses of the Fund’s income. Over the years the Fund has supported many organizations and causes in which FUMCOG has been involved. In 2006, Pastor Michele Bartlow and the Trustees awarded the following four grants totaling $14,000 on the recommendation of John Riggan, chair of the Fund.
