Conversations on Race

The Racial Audit

FUMCOG's Conversations on Race committee is about to embark on a Racial Audit for our church. As a prelude to this process the sermon portion of our January 27 Sunday Service was an introduction and clarification of just what a Racial Audit is and how it will function.

Associate Pastor Tamie Scalise introduced the subject beginning with Biblical references.

Committee co-chair John Chapman proceeded to give an historical perspective.

Committee co-chair Lisa Chapman then provided the details of the audit beginning with the inception of the desire to do it followed by the particulars of the audit itself.

Pastor Tamie concluded the sermon with a prayer.

All four portions of the sermon are below for you to listen to if you choose.
