The Shelmerdine Memorial carillon, with 50 bells ranging in weight from 3 1/2 tons to 12 pounds, is one of fewer than 200 carillons in North America. Each summer FUMCOG hosts acclaimed carillonneurs from all over the world to play our instrument. The audience sits in the beautiful garden of Wyck, a historic house across from the church. Visits to the tower, playing cabin and bells can be arranged with the carillonneur by contacting the church. For more information, contact Jan Tebbel at tebbj@comcast.net.
